We hear quite a lot of stories about abundant pets. Many of them are dogs. In most countries, abandoned dogs left on the streets are found in city rescue units and directed to pet care centers. These care centers take care of all the medical needs of the dogs and look after them till they find a kind forever home. This is one such story about a dog who waited for two years till he found his forever home. He not only found a lovely home with loving companions, but he had a royal ride home.

Finally, after about two years, they were able to find one. So when the time came for Chester to leave the clinic for his new home, he got a warm send-off from his wonderful caretakers in the clinic. And it was a private Limousine ride!

He was chained to a window when the rescue teams found him. It was an abandoned house with three other companions. They believe that these dogs could have been there for almost a week. What a pathetic situation it was. The Kennel manager of the shelter, Kyrie Brickman, was the key person in this mission.

Only the bones were visible, and all of them were starving to death. Poor Chester could not even lie down. He was way too weak. One of his paws was stuck in a prong collar, and the wound was a complete mess. Carrying him to the rescue house was quite a mission. The poor dog could not support himself as he was frail and could not stand alone. So, the team had to help him to carry him. He was also heartworm-positive. So, he had many issues to look into. Treating him was a challenge to the rescue team.
Chester was so happy to see people. His physical condition was so weak, so the rescue team was not too sure how long this poor creature would last. But it was a miracle that he slowly recovered. Chester slowly gained weight and soon back to the ideal weight of a healthy dog. He was stronger along with the treatment and rapidly improved in his first year at the shelter. He had not yet found a home, but he was in the shelter under the care of the rescue team. After almost two years, Chester was able to gain the attention of Lauren Reitman. She fell in love with Caster immediately. It was the turning point of Chester’s life.
Chester, after almost two full years, finally found his forever home. He was welcomed with much love and care by his new owner. The shelter has shared a lovely video of his ride home. It was a very unique moment. Chester was lucky to have a row of cheering fans as he walked to the Limo to go home.
